History

INVENT was founded in the mid-1980s by a group of fluid mechanics experts in Erlangen, Germany, as a spin-off from the department of Fluid Mechanics at the Friedrich-Alexander University in Erlangen-Nuremberg.

INVENT’s involvement in the environmental field began in 1990 with the launch of its hyperboloid mixer technology for applications in water and wastewater treatment.

INVENT Umwelt- und Verfahrenstechnik AG in its current organisation originated in 1995 as a result of a management buy-out. In 2003, it became a stock-holding company (AG). Since 2004, INVENT has had a presence in the USA with a subsidiary company.

INVENT is represented in all of the world’s most important markets, by commercial representatives, licensed partners, and its own branch offices.

INVENT Pacific Pty. Ltd was founded in 2008 in response to local interest for high efficiency equipment for wastewater treatment facilities.  Invent Pacific is an Australian  proprietary company limited by shares with a majority shareholding from Invent Umwelt- und Verfahrenstechnik AG and Australian investors.
