Data Protection Statement

As the operator of this website, INVENT Umwelt- und Verfahrenstechnik AG is responsible for the collection, processing, and usage of your data in accordance with the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG as well as the German Telemedia Act (TMG). The protection and the safety of your data are particularly important to us.

We process personal data in accordance with statutory data protection rules. The following statement is meant to be an overview of what kind of data is being collected, how this data is being used, and what your right corresponding to the usage of your data are.

1. Data collection

a. Visit of our website

During your visit on our website, every access is temporarily saved in a data protocol file. We in this case process the following data:

  • The IP address of the accessing computer
  • The date and the time of your visit
  • The name and the URL of the accessed file
  • The website from which you are visiting our website
  • The operating system and the web browser you are using
  • The name of your internet access provider

The data will only be used to enable the technical operation of our website (to establish a connection), to ensure system security and dependability, to enable the technical administration of the network infrastructure as well as the optimization of our web presence, and for internal statistical use. The IP address is only analyzed in cases of attacks on our network infrastructure as well as for statistical purposes.

b. Registration on our website

During your registration on our website, the following data is collected:

  • Company name
  • Surname, forename
  • Address
  • Contact data

This data is being collected to know who our contractual partner is, as far as this is necessary for the content, change or termination of our contractual relationship regarding the use of our website and the associated services, for checking the plausibility of the given data and the contractual capability of the user and, if necessary, to contact you in case of inquiries.

c. Subscription to our newsletter

During your subscription to our newsletter, we collect the following data:

  • Company name
  • Surname, forename
  • Address
  • Contact data

This data is being collected to send newsletters, e-mails, and other messages that contain advertising information with the explicit consent of the recipients.

2. Usage of personal data

The personal data is used to process already established contracts.

  1. We need you company name, name and address to know who our contractual partner is, viz. who we provide and invoice our services to.
  2. We need your contact data (e-mail address and phone number) to be able to send you your registration confirmation as well as for possible inquiries.
  3. We need your credit card viz. account data to be able to bill our services provided.
3. Transfer of personal data to third parties

We do not transfer personal data to third parties. Beyond that, we shall forward your personal data to third parties only if there is a legal obligation for us to do so or if this is required for the immediate enforcement of our rights and, if necessary, to enforce  our claims from existing contractual relationships with you.

4. Cookies

Cookies serve the purpose of rendering our site more user friendly and effective. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser on the hard drive of your computer.

Cookies do neither damage the hard drive of your computer nor do we store any personal data that is submitted via cookies.

We use cookies for instance to identify our users without them being logged in on our website. Using cookies does not mean that we receive new personal data about you as an online visitor. Most browsers accept cookies automatically. You can configure your browser that you will be notified about cookies being set, can allow cookies on a case-by-case basis or exclude them in general.

5. Web analysis services

a. General information

In order to make sure that our web page meets the demands and that it is continuously optimized we use web analyses services. In this context, pseudonym-based user profiles are created and cookies (see section 6) are used. The information generated by the cookie concerning

  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL (previously visited page)
  • Host name of the accessing computer (IP address) as well as
  • Date and time at the moment of access

will be transmitted to our server and stored there. This information will be used for evaluating the use of our website, to create reports on website activity, and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage for the purpose of market research and demand-design of our website. We may transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law.

In no case, your IP address is associated with other personal data. The IP addresses are anonymized so that they cannot be associated (IP masking).

The user has the right to contradict the generation of user profiles at any time. To communicate us your opposition, please contact us (using the contact details from section 8).

b. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. To deactivate Google Analytics, Google has developed an opt-out browser add-on available via the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en. Google Analytics uses cookies, i.e. text files which make it possible, to store specific information related to the user that is on the users terminal. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server in USA and stored there. The IP address is anonymized using the function “gat._anonymizeIp();” before transmission to Google. Therefore, within Member States of the European Union or in countries that are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, Google will first shorten your IP address. Only in exceptional cases will your complete IP address be transferred to a server belonging to Google in the USA and shortened there.
